Michael has commenced recording a second batch of new songs at Tim Powles’ Spacejunk 3 studio in Sydney.
The songs written in a furious burst late in 2010 are a mixed bunch which on one hand recall the harder rock stylings of Sour Pop and You Buried Me but on the other have a sad disco feel. A couple of the numbers could have turned up on Michael’s previous album Love Transmitter.
Song titles include “Undertow”, “Every Little Something”, “I Walk Alone”, “Cha Cha Cha D’Amour”, “Sunday Suit” and “Cheap Wine, Black Coffee and Cigarettes”.
Michael says, “It seems to be going well. Hard but fair is how I’m pitching it.”
